4x4 Rubber Button Pad Description:


This is a translucent silicon rubber button pad with 16 buttons originally. Each button has a hole underneath that accepts either a 3mm or 5mm standard LED. The idea is that you can create a button  interface of your choice with the ability to display simple colors under each button. Mainly, we wanted to use our tri- color LEDs to create a full RGB color for each button.

16 button pad can be split up into four, 4 button pads. Each button has a conductive circle backing so that a switch can be  created with exposed PCB traces. Button force is between 190 and 210grams activation force (nice tactile feel like on your TV  remote)

Each button is 10mm x10mm square and 10mm tall with 5mm of grid spacing between the buttons. Button pads tile up nicely  edge to edge but can be cut down nicely if needed around 3mm of travel when pressed to give a very satisfying feel on the  bottom of each button is a conductive pad ring which can close a properly designed contact underneath.

The difficulty is that: Basic silicone choice and corresponding toner for different Led light source.

2.Silicone Electronic Conductive Printing:

For good quality and usage, we choose silicone electric conductive silicone and printing, not black carbon Pill. And this  production way also can save molding cost and per unit cost for our customers. Fixed ideas that rubber/silicone keypads need  black carbon pill, some customers will not accept silicone electric conductive printing. Actually, the silicone electric conductiveprinting is new production way, the function and usage is more durable.

Notes: PU coating is more wearproof, and protective effects is better than matte smooth coating. However, PU coating is more expensive than matte smooth coating.
And also matte smooth coating have good tactile effect, PU coating is not too hard and not good tactile effect. Most silicone rubber keypads choose matte smooth coating.
